Hey! My name is Sophie England and I am a self-taught Portrait Artist from Essex, in England. I use graphite pencils, on 160gsm sketch paper, to create professional, photo-like, black and white portraits.
I sell prints of my drawings which come in either A4 or A3 size, warmer or cooler tones and are available on 189g/m2 Matte Paper and 230g/m2 Matte Paper respectively. As well as selling prints, I will in the very near future be taking commission orders too, which is an original drawing, personal for you to keep. It can be a commission of any person you wish (within certain limits), including adding loved ones who are no longer with us, into a drawing. I have always had a passion for art since a very young age, and I started to draw people around the age of 11 just as a bit of fun. But, since then, as I have picked up and learnt more skills as the years have gone by, it has developed into more than just a hobby to me.
As many of you may already know, I like to combine my love for drawing with my other passion, which is football. Most of my portraits and prints that are available are of footballers, so this is where my main expertise lie. Since, I began drawing footballers especially from Tottenham Hotspur, many have contacted me to either say thank you or that they love my drawings. This includes a few names such as Toby Alderweireld, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela, Ryan Mason, Mauricio Pochettino/Jesus Perez and Tottenham Hotspur themselves.
Without all the support I have received on Twitter and my social media’s over the years, I wouldn’t be doing this today, so I would like to take the time to thank everyone that has ever given me a like, a RT, a share, or a supportive message.
